IBAM – 2nd International Congress, Convocation & Award Presentation Ceremony
In the year 1995, IBAM organized its 2nd International Congress, Convocation & Award Presentation Ceremony on 7th April. This 3days long ceremony was held in Rabindra Sarobar Stadium and Gyan Manch Auditorium in Calcutta. In its 2nd year the International Congress, Convocation & Award Presentation Ceremony has become an apostle of high value and supreme intellect for the well being of people through Holistic and Alternative approach of medication. “Health for All by 2000 A.D. through the Holistic Approach” was the theme of the Congress.
On the 1st day, i.e. on 7th April, the ceremony was inaugurated by H.E. Shri Satya Narayan Reddy, Hon’ble Governor of Orissa. Chief Guest was Shri Giridhar Gamang, Hon’ble Union Minister, Govt. Of India. The Ceremony was Chaired by Dr. Pratap Chandra Chunder, Former Union Minister for Education & Social Welfare. Special Guests of Honour were, Shri Jayant Rai, M.P., Shri Ram Chandra Vikal, Former M.P., Prof. Dr. Sanat Biswas, High Shreiff of Calcutta, H. H. T. V. Lama Shresta Gangchen Tulku Rinpoche, President World Peace Foundation Italy, Dr. M. A. Malik President, International Homoeopathic Medical Society, U.S.A.. The occasion was blessed by The Most Rev. Mother Teresa.
The 2nd day i.e. 8th April, mainly held the Convocation at Rabindra Sarobar Stadium, Calcutta. Chief Guest for the day was Prof. Probodh Chandra Sinha Hon’ble Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Govt. of West Bengal. Key Note was addressed by Prof. Dr. Sanat Biswas. Padmashree Dr. Datta Pai, President Health Promotion Society, Padmashree Dr. V.K. Shah Vice President Maharastra Dental Council, Dr. Tenzin Choedrek Personal Physician to H. H. Dalai Lama were the Guests of Honour.
The Valedictory Session /Award Presentation Ceremony was held the 3rd day, i.e. 9th April at Gyan Mancha, Calcutta. This occasion was Chaired by Dr. Pratap Chandra Chunder, Former Union Minister for Education & Social Welfare Govt of India. Chief Guest was Mr. Justice Samir Mukherjee. In this occasion Seva Chakra Awards were presented to eminent personalities like, 1. Madam Mother Teresa, 2. Shri Morarji Desai, 3. H. H. Dalai Lama, 4. H. E. Shri B. Satya Narayan Reddy, Governor of Orissa, 5. Dr. P. C. Chunder, 6. Shri. Giridhar Gamang, Union Minister, 7. Dr. Karan Singh, 8. Dr Sanat Biswas, 9. Nagarik Swasthya Sangha, Clacutta, 10. H. H. Lama Ganchen, President, World Peace Foundation, Italy, 11. Dr. Sunil Thakur.
Over 600 world-renowned personalities joined the occasion as Speakers, Delegates and Awardees. Foreign delegates were from nations like Italy, Germany, Holland, United Kingdom, Spain, Greece, Brazil, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, Nepal, Bangladesh, Japan, Poland, Sri Lanka, China, Australia, Pakistan, U.S.A., South Africa, Peru, Thailand, Belgium to name few.
