A powerful earthquake - Nepal's worst in 80 years - rocked the mountainous country on Saturday, 25th April. More than 3300 deaths have been confirmed, and the death toll is expected to rise. Dozens of people have also been killed in India.

The tragic loss of thousands of lives and the enormity of destruction has saddended us all. On behalf of all the students and members of the Indian Board of Alternative Medicines and World Yoga Foundation, we convey our heartfelt condolesences to the people of Nepal.

Indian and Nepal Military Forces, various Helath and Medical Agencies, various Ashrams, etc. are on the ground helping the earthquake survivors and Indian Board of Alternative Medicines and World Yoga Foundation have expressed desire to make a modest donation to contribute to local relief organizations. The donation is being made to the Nepal Embassy in Kolkata, India which shall further mobilize the funds to the relevant Organizations in Nepal.
